Welcome to the second edition of my SMK column. Hope it’s as good as the first one was. So enjoy reading and feedback is always appreciated.

With Smackdown making its debut on Friday night television, there was nothing but high expectations. But with the recent tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, only the one hour of Smackdown was aired on UPN, with the first hour being shown exclusively on WWE.com. This short one hour time frame would have made anyone wonder if Stacy Keibler would get any decent airtime.

Twice during the hour shown on UPN, Stacy was shown, with Christy Hemme, in the skybox with Network Executive Palmer Canon and General Manager Theodore Long. These two ‘’lovely” segments lasted only a few seconds and was the only time any divas were shown. At least this tells us that Stacy is important enough to show, but why WWE can’t just give her a decent storyline instead of three second segments.

During the hour shown exclusively on WWE.com, the Legion of Doom defended their tag team titles against MNM. After the ref had been knocked down Melina was going to hit Animal with one of the tag team titles but Animal took the title out of her hands before she could. Melina then backed into the turnbuckle in fear. Animal then faked that he was going to hit her but then turned around and hit Nitro for the win. With all of the recent house shows having Stacy attack Melina etc, why not have Stacy interfere in the match causing L.O.D. to win.

Stacy and Christy were in the skybox with Palmer, so the past three weeks could still be leading to a feud between the divas and Palmer. With Sylvan Grenier now being the Euro Fashion Model, any possible storyline with him is out of the picture. With Stacy attacking Melina at the house shows, maybe a Stacy/Christy and Melina/Jillian feud is possible. Tune in to Smackdown on Friday night to see what Stacy’s future holds.

On one last note, recently Stacy was on Byte This with several other WWE superstars. The superstars recalled their favorite Smackdown moments. Stacy’s favorite moment was when she danced for Vince McMahon to get the job as his assistance. Considering the fact that she began dancing at the age of three and danced for several years to come, I have to say I’m not surprised that her favorite moment had to do with her dancing. All of Stacy’s dedicated fans have their favorite Stacy moment, maybe it is the same as Stacy’s favorite wrestling moment.
